 The Stranger
One day a man started talking
about something quite new to me,
He said let me tell you a story
about a man that calmed the sea.
He said this man was amazing
there was nothing He couldn稚 do,
He even loved us sinners
just like both me and you.
He preached about his home
where he wanted us all to go,
And about his loving Father
that we all needed to know.
He performed many miracles
He even raised some from the dead,
This is the power of my Father
is what the amazing stranger said.
I can give you an abundant life
I can give you life for evermore,
If only you値l believe in this stranger
if only you値l open the door.
I won稚 force my way
I値l knock at the door of your heart,
And if you let me in
I promise I値l never part.
Just give your life to me
and join my growing flock,
I値l guide you to my home
for I知 the only key that can open the Heavenly Lock.
Much of what He said
I didn稚 really understand,
But I could feel the love of the stranger
as to me He held out His hand.
As our hands did meet
my door it opened wide,
Now the name of Jesus
forever will live inside.
And now I await the shout
when I will meet Him in the sky,
And as He promised long ago
He値l take me to the place, where I値l never have to die.
